INTRODUCTION

This website is owned and operated by Canine Evolution Ltd (Data Controller) (hereafter referred to as; "we", "us" and "our"), we are registered in England and Wales under registration number 13912965, and our registered address is 20-22 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU.


"Personal Data" is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.

"You", "Your", "They" and "Users" means the individual/company accessing or using the Site and our "Services" (Dog training and/or boarding).


This Privacy Policy describes how Your Personal Data is collected, used, stored and shared when You; visit our "Site"(www.canineevolution.co.uk), express an interest in us or our Services and throughout the fulfilment of the requested Services.


By using our Site, Users agree that They consent to the conditions set out in this policy. Consent may be withdrawn by contacting us on the email address below.


We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.

PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT

When You visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about Your device, including information about Your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on Your device. Additionally, as You browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages that You view, what websites or search terms referred You to the Site, and information about how You interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

Directly - when You voluntarily provide it to use when You express an interest in obtaining information about us or our Services, when You participate in activities and generally when You contact us by email, phone or social media (i.e. Facebook/Instagram).


Indirectly - such as when obtained through third parties such as bark.com (we recommend reviewing their privacy policy as information collected by them will not be covered under this policy) and when You fill in our client registration form (processed via Zoho)


Personal Data collected may include (but not limited to); first & last name, address, email address and phone number. We refer to this information as “Order Information.” We will never collect sensitive information about You without Your explicit consent.


"Communication Information" refers to the conversation history between us and You, this may include (but not limited to) emails, social media messages, text messages and group chats via WhatsApp regarding the Service.


When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking about Device Information, Order Information and Communication Information.


CHILDREN

We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from anyone under the age of 16 years, if You are a parent or guardian and are aware that Your child has provided us with Personal Information, please contact us immediately. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Information from anyone under the age of 16 years we will take steps to delete the information as soon as possible.

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:


(a) Your consent - We may process Your Personal Information if You have given us permission (i.e. consent) to use Your Personal Information for a specific purpose such as establishing contact or entering a contractual Service. You are able to remove Your consent at any time by contacting us as above.


Order Information such as phone numbers or email addresses may be used in order to respond to User inquiries.


We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, Your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site). (b) We have a contractual obligation - We may process Your Personal Information when we believe it is necessary in order to fulfil our contractual obligations to You, including providing our Services or at Your request prior to entering a contract with You.


We use the Order Information that we collect in order to deliver and facilitate delivery of our Service to the User, such as address' in order to collect & drop off dogs as required and phone numbers and/or email addresses to provide daily updates.


(c) We have a legitimate interest (either ours or a third parties) - We may process Your Personal Information if we are processing it for a legitimate reason.


Order Information is used to respond to User inquiries/offer support to Users, to send administrative information to You and to protect against fraud or pet abandonment.


Communication Information is used for quality and training purposes in order to monitor the progress our trainers are making with Your dog and ensure that communication with Users is of expected quality. In the event the User has a concern or complaint about the Service provided then collection of Communication Information will allow management to review the training that has taken place and either uphold complaints or use in our defence.


(d) We have a legal obligation - We may process Your Personal Information if we are required to by law, this includes such reasons as retaining Your Order Information for our financial records as required by HMRC (i.e. copies of invoices & receipts).


Order Information is used to provide receipts and maintain our financial records.


SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We share Your Personal Information with certain trusted third parties/agents who perform services for us (as a "Processor") to help us use Your Personal Information as described above, and require access to such information to do that work. We have data processing agreements (DPA's) in place with our third parties which are designed to safeguard Your Personal Information. This means they cannot do anything with your Personal Information unless we have instructed them to do so, they will not share Your Personal Information with any organisation except for us and they commit to protect the data they hold on our behalf and to retain it for the period we have instructed.

We use Zoho to send and receive our electronic client registration form, this form allows standardisation when collecting information about Your dog(s) across our User base as well as ease in filling out the requested information and avoiding confusion for non-applicable questions. We will not sell, distribute or lease Your personal information with other third parties unless required to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or another lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.


We may disclose data to any member of our organisation who reasonably needs access to achieve the purposes set out in this policy, this includes but is not limited to; Your assigned trainer, their manager (if applicable) and a member of our admin team.



DATA STORAGE & RETENTION

We have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure Personal Information collected.


We will retain Your Personal Information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy and to the extent it is necessary in order to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

If You are a European resident, You have the right to access personal information we hold about You and to ask that Your Personal Information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If You would like to exercise this right, please contact us on the above email.
